Yep, front brakes are naturally stronger than the rears. On pavement this is fine as the extra traction means more weight transfer, and the front wheels get a lot more traction than the rears.

I love that car!

This is strange to me, we have alternate side parking here specifically for winter plowing. Duluth, MN does it year round, but across the bridge in Superior, WI they only do it in the winter.

Mine does something crazy.

FYI, up to $50. Priced out an AGM battery for my van. Might pull the trigger.

No solid axle, no care

Meh, I’m not sure a real restoration is in order. This would be the perfect rig to fix the mechanical things, go to town on the frame and floorboords with some POR15 and just drive it. Don’t daily drive it in the winter slime, but other than that, just enjoy it.

My thrice-crashed ‘89 Subaru XT6. Horribly neglected, but still runs fantastically.

I live in Northern Minnesota, I drive crappy cars, and I only recently bought a house with a garage. I’ve done most of my work outside. Most of the big projects I was able to get done before the weather got bad, but I’ve done all manner of suspension and brake work on my gravel pad in the snow.

Tires! The traction difference between ice tires (I swear by Nokian Hakkapeliitas) and even the best all-season is staggering.

+1 for Rally and Offroad. I’ve been active with several other communities, some local, some just online. But these guys tend to be the most inclusive, and respectful. They also both understand the importance of being responsible about our sport, so there’s very little screwing around in the parking lot (not none,

I see why a person would want it. I find the back seat of even quad cab pickups to be pretty uncomfortable. I had to put our child seat in a friend’s Duramax quad cab and there was way less room in there than my wife’s Outback. IMHO, it’s not really a practical vehicle for more than 2 people.

Bah, that’s nothing.

2019

My thoughts exactly.

Last winter was my first with a garage. We bought a house with a garage that’s standard 2-car width, but about 6 feet deeper. Means I have a nice work area in front of the bench even with the cars in there.

Could be, the Subwoofer Accessory kit in question is branded as a Kicker. Although according to the service bulletin, manufactured by Harmon-Kardon

Flat-brimmed hats, white-rimmed sunglasses, and lots of energy drink logos are the attire of the buyers of that truck.

My Dad’s ‘92 Subaru Loyale Wagon. FWD, 1.8l, POS. Probably within a year of getting my license in 2003

Nice car, but I think it’s too much. My summer car is a ‘91 GT convertible, which I like much more than the ‘94-’99s (pop up headlights!), and I still wouldn’t think of paying that for one.
