You guys should really try to somehow include the original tooltip when you repost XKCD comics. I feel that a lot is missed without those little snippets.

Upon seeing this link I realized that after all my years of taking Thermodynamics and Heat Transfer classes I had never really thought about what the triple point would look like, even though I spent many hours doing problems and drawing diagrams based around the concept. Having read the book that was written about this study by Philip Zimbardo, The Lucifer Effect, as part of a college course, and then discussing the book in detail I can say that this short excerpt of an article does not even begin to do justice to how messed up this whole experiment was.
