Looking at the trailer more closely, I do think the infinity gems play a big role in Loki's army. The mind gem in his staff to control the army, the purple one to transport himself and the army. I think it would make sense, considering Loki likes to manipulate people.

I don't get the Black Widow and Hawkeye hate. They are there because they are part of SHIELD, which needs people they have trained and trust to be on a team of super-powered people who have no strict affiliation to SHIELD.

I think the only person who gets to act like a normal person is Lincoln, since this is his first year as a Fringe agent. So I give a pass to these characters because this is season 4 and its been 3 years that they have been seeing freaky shit so I assume they have gotten use to it.
