Thanks—out of interest, what SSD did you get, because it seems to be a little hit-and-miss regardless of brand?

Hi, Thanks for the response. What is the difference between SATA 2 and 3 for an SSD and is it worth the effort and extra cost? I'm a bit of a novice when it comes to this sort of stuff so I appreciate your help. I have an i7 930, which seemingly supports FCLGA1366 sockets, DDR3 RAM, and a PCI-E graphics card. What…
"Upgrading a motherboard can be one of the more complicated things to do" -Exactly what I was worried about! And of course it's a desktop. The most technical thing I've done with it is install RAM so this will certainly be a little harder and I'm unsure whether a new SSD warrants getting a new mobo too.
I'm looking at getting an SSD but my motherboard only has SATA II. Would it be worthwhile (and feasible) to upgrade the motherboard first? If so, how do I find the right one that works with all my components, and how easy is it actually?
Complaining about the lack of apps is like bitching about the iPhone's selection just before it was released. It will grow so quickly after Windows release as it will become one of the largest personal computer markets in the world and software developers will be desperate to tap into the hundreds of millions of users.
I do believe that has more to do with Apple than Microsoft.
Alas not. 100mb a month with no 'rolling credit'
Or like, under anything (tree, awning, walls)
The fact that we are irrational being is, I admit, undeniable. Whether that equates to being 'religious', I'm a little less sure about, but I *believe* we should agree to disagree about the concept of atheism.
I was actually suggesting that 'proper' atheism is in fact negative atheism. Positive atheism is, as I said in my previous comment, closer to a belief system, and in that respect I agree with you. Out of interest, are you religious in any way?
No, I do not believe either way, but I think it very unlikely that a single deity created and controls the world given the evidence we have at the moment. But, as mentioned before, if evidence came to light clearly suggesting otherwise, I would re-evaluate my stance.
The most prominent atheist, Richard Dawkins, holds the view that 'there's probably no God'. The majority of other atheists agree with this stance. The majority of rational atheists are negative atheists as positive atheism is, to an extent, a belief.
Almost all of those definitions refer to either a 'lack of belief' or a 'disbelief' of a deity. This does not equate to 'believing' a deity does not exist but simply refusal of the belief that it does. Any definitions that claim atheism is in anyway a belief in and of itself have a tragic misunderstanding of atheism.
Actually no. It isn't the belief that there is no God, it is the reasoning given the evidence that other theories (non-deity related) are considerably more likely. If, however, evidence emerges proving beyond reasonable doubt the existence of God, atheists would be obliged to accept it.
As others have argued elsewhere in this thread, however, Communism (and other such political beliefs) should to an extent be classed as a belief system, ergo a religion. Atheism isn't 'the belief' in something like the Big Bang or evolution (they are merely accepted theories that we are willing to change if new…
We still have a pint in the pub instead of a 'half litre' as the rest of Europe. We also still measure feet in barleycorns, horses in hands and people in feet. Yards are used in football but in name only—in reality it's strides of the referee.

Apparently, 'taking the piss' isn't a universal phrase! It basically means 'taking liberties'.
I really hope this is a joke!
