The very fact that they have pretty much survived intact from 100m years ago sort of proves that they didn't need to evolve particularly anyway.
I think you've misunderstood the point of 3D printing. It isn't meant to compete with high volume production in the far east, but for specialised, custom-built objects it's great. Searching that term (because I have nothing better to do) actually comes up with my new favourite filler text generator: http://trollemipsum.appspot.com/?type=apple&length=screed
Looks just like the Android version, which is by no means a bad thing
I managed to haggle 30% off in a foreign language (in an upmarket clothes shop in a country where haggling isn't 'traditional' at all). Even if you aren't confident, you have nothing to lose trying, apart from maybe looking like a tight-fisted prick to some guy you'll never meet again.

When I'm abroad, in the middle of Africa for example, the unlimited 3G is invaluable. I coded a really basic (and importantly, keyboard accessible) homepage with all my feeds, emails etc that I used tonnes!
I have some double sided masking tape that has been stuck on all of the cupboard doors. It was used to stick up vinyl covers but those have since come off. Unfortunately the tape hasn't come off; it's cracking, looks ugly and really is NOT peeling off. Any tricks to remove it?

Well, e-ink offers other advantages like the fact you can read it in direct sunlight. But I see your point. Maybe the poll should have been changed to "Do LCDs hurt YOUR eyes after extended usage?"
That was whatr I was alluding to but no-one has built it into their products which is a real shame.
