We already have scales at self service checkouts in the UK. There would be no need for pre-determined fruit weight as customers weigh each bag of fruit themselves and that data is put on the RFID. What you do is bag it yourself and then put it on the scales. The scales will currently print off a barcode, now they could just embed an RFID onto the bag or whatever - simple
