You can tell he spent HOURS rehearsing his lines in front of a mirror. There is nothing natural about his speech path. His mother might as well be some strange but kindly older woman they hired to sit on a couch and have her shoulder rubbed uncomfortably for 30 minutes.

I can’t imagine praying hours a day for your kid unless they had a serious physical illness, or they were torturing animals or engaging in other cruel / evil behaviors and you're concerned for their mental-well-being / immortal soul. Whatever your worldview is.
