I think for a boardgame I really appreciate the immersive effect embellishing the play area has, but I don’t think Catan has enough depth for this to enhance the experience. Perhaps I would be in love with this the first 10 times I ever played the game, but after about that point the game elements expose themselves…

The writing was on the wall when Ziff Davis acquired them in 2017. Kind of surprised it took them this long to greed it up, tbh. Were probably waiting for all of us to forget they were acquired by a megaconglomerate so that we wouldn’t associate the shitty policy changes with the acquisition. Didn’t forget!

I liked some comics and didn’t like other comics and I don’t understand why you don’t feature that one comic that hasn’t had updates in four years.

Evangelion is clearly of the “giant robot” anime subgenre.

This seriously undercuts the dramatic tension of my play session if I can’t make Optimus hit a jump and spend a solid 2 minutes transforming him mid-air making transforming sounds with my mouth before he lands in robot form. 

Because at the end of the day, after I put down the games, I’d scroll through Twitter, catching up on the latest death tolls and pandemic news, the open pit in my stomach steadily growing.
