I’m in Denver and chose the Alltrack over the Subarus mainly because of the power (and the manual transmission if I’m honest). I just couldn’t envision being happy with the Sube’s NA 4 in the mountains.

IIRC Delta has been a perennial champion for on-time flights. It stands to reason that their policies reflect that, and that the gate crew would be very hesitant to do anything that might cause a delay.
