Probably used their buyout cash on BMWs.

No such thing as a free lunch and all that, so it’s probably not wise to exclude those energy costs from the TCO of the Model S. There have been articles on here and elsewhere about crackdowns by Tesla of Supercharger abuse. Taxi services using it to subsidize their energy costs might be a viable option right now,

Absolutely true, but they are still using that energy and someone is still paying to generate is all I’m saying.

It mentions the supercharger network which for them is free, so they are probably including fuel costs for the ICE cars and excluding energy costs for the Tesla.

5-10 kW of PV is probably possible on the roof of a 53 foot trailer, no?

I’ve seen lots of iphones and ipads in the field in the construction industry. With a protective case an ipad can be pretty close to a toughbrick, still lighter and easier to carry, and way cheaper to replace if it does break.

This is most likely a no-brainer purchase for me. I love my Surge, and have been waiting on FB to come out with something comparable to replace it. This appears to fit the bill very nicely for users who enjoy the features of the Surge.

As a side note, anyone who liked the movie Contact and hasn’t read Sagan’s book needs to put it on their list.

I was surprised at the quoted 36MPG in your recommendation, as my 535D - a bigger car with the same motor - is rated for 38MPG highway and comfortably exceeds its rating on road trips. After some digging it’s correct, but I still have no idea why. Maybe the transmission?

Setting up ratings like this also betrays the fact that there is no such thing as being universally above average.

Here you go!

Is this an excuse to post dog pictures?

I also owned both a T8 and a T16 900. I took my friend out to a lonely road and let him drive my ‘82 T8 to see what the fuss was about. The turbo lag was long enough for him to get the whole sentence “man, this thing is slow” out before he promptly ate his words.

It’s a thing, but not to a battery. It just feeds back into the wall.

Yeah, true. When I’m doing that kinda stuff I am usually in powerpoint or acrobat or word, so annotations and the like can be done after the content is moved over.

Agree. For transferring snippets of content from one app to another, snip tool is the better tool by far. Paint is way more clicks to do what you need and quite clunky by comparison.

This is a good point. Predatory lending laws exist for a reason.

But how do I tell them to put the peppers and onions in the sandwich before they toast it? Robots are not artists!

The Excursion by comparison was downright practical. The 7.3 powerstroke could return something like 20mpg and you could probably beat the H2 in fuel economy even with a trailer attached.
