If you mean your upgrade is available in two days, wait; and reserve one at an apple store for pickup.

Yeah, 4S and ipad2 here. I haven't noticed any lag. I did do a wipe and restore back when iOS 6 came out, on both devices - and tossed the old backups essentially starting fresh. It really helped with speed and battery life. Prior to that, my iphone backup was the same file from iOS 2.0. Sucked though, because I lost

7 works well on my ipad 2. All the swoopy doopy animation crap is smooth and everything. However, if you're happy with your current setup, don't update.

I suppose its the same with many things. Some aspect of the experience is deemed worthy of sacrifice in the interests of making the product succeed. For years and years, cellphone UIs were just terrible, and it seemed like everyone just sort of accepted that as necessary to have the features and form factors to which

The lag is the biggest thing for me. You always end up interrupting the other person on mobile calls, because of the 1-2 second delay.

Call quality is better on landlines. It just is. We are in 2013 and there is still a ton of lag and compression artifacts on cellphone calls. When I answer a call at work, I can tell immediately if they are on a cellphone just based on the sound quality. Carriers, why can't you fix this? LTE broadband is faster than

Interesting - it's a ~750MB download, but requires a little over 3GB of space to install. I guess I'll have to wait till I can update thru itunes.

Re: difficulty getting kids to sit for photos: I've been scanning family photos. I came across some group shots with my family, our cousins, grandparents. I think roughly 15 people in the shot in all. There are 2 entire rolls of my dad trying to get a shot of everyone looking at the camera, not a single one was

I just have to say that I was also confused by the wording. They really should have just said that if you have a license for windows 8, this is a free update. That would have been much better.

But COLOR SCREEN!

Oh, screw your friends. Game Gear was the shit.

I had one in that same color!

I realize you're just trying to get a rise out of people, but you chose a poor topic to do it. Apple is doing a lot of things these days that are worth getting angry about, but the lightning thing is such a non-issue. Frankly, if anything they are making other people money in the switch (3rd party accessory vendors,

That's a very precise hot dog bun count.

I'm on board with this idea, but only if it has auto mode where the shifter and clutch move on their own like a player piano.

Agree. I am perfectly fine with the performance of my phone, but my ipad 2 is definitely showing its age.

I'm with you. I just don't want to have to buy a bunch of new cables. I'd need at least three - one for the car dock, one for the bedroom charger, and one for the office. The 4S is still a very capable device.

I assume it is optional and passcodes are still there, but you make a good point.

I'm sure it wasn't constant but they stayed within spec. I suppose the dealer could have been airing them up (they never mentioned doing so) at service, but I've had other cars that I serviced myself and same experience. Only time I've had to watch air pressure in tires was if they were already punctured.
