I once spent about a year where the only comics I read were manga books. Then I started reading so-called "American" books again and actually had to re-train my brain to read *those* the correct way.

I heard about that. It boggles the mind why a console known for its shooters, exclusive or otherwise, and has actual trigger-shaped triggers on its controller, would have guns banned from their avatars.
If your wattage was just 15 watts shy OR you had to use an adapter, there probably wouldn't be a problem. But the thought of doing *both* makes my eye twitch.
I've actually been morbidly curious about that game (used to do real model railroads when I was a kid; no room now), but I unfortunately spent all my mad money on Humble Bundle 4, Indie Royale Xmas, and a pile of .99 EA games on iOS. Apparently, I have to actually buy something for my younglings. lol
It's INSIDE/part of the National Museum of Play, yes, but based on your original comment, you're attributing the cost of land, building, staffing, etc., solely to the video game portion. Did THAT portion alone cost $10M? Again I ask, source?
"It worked, didn't it?"
Unless that $10 million also all came out of the government coifers like the $113K, then your point is irrelevant. Source?
You're lumping together the entire medium based on a certain genre of games, that, while popular, do not *define* the medium. So, therefore, you must agree that one should throw out babies with their bath water.
"I though this was some kind of joke or some reverse parody on this so called "war on christmas".
Seriously? Are we going for link-bait of the year with this? The vast majority of people I run into who celebrate Christmas aren't Christians.
"Games may have brought hours of enjoyment to the children of today but it did so with a steep price."
Considering that $113K in the shadow of a multiple trillion dollar debt is roughly equivalent to the change lost in your couch, preserving/not preserving games should be the LEAST of their worries.
This.
Not preserving video games would be a tragedy. They aren't just silly toys for kids and nerds anymore, despite what out-of-touch politicians looking for an exploitable pebble on a mountain would like to think.
AB: Toaster Edition
Well, to be fair, when it comes to good business, those other companies don't know squawk.
Was recently provided with an iPad for work. I haven't had the chance to check out gaming on it, but I will be downloading this when I get home— oh, wait! *whips out iPad* ...right now.
My personal response to all of these...
'Vita', 'Ooooh' and 'touch screen' are real. The rest is a complete fabrication based on what's seen in the video, so it may or may not line up with what he's actually saying.
Oh, holy cow, I'd never actually heard of that one until today. They should have called it the SEGA Monolith.
