Of course, it should be there. But there’s the risk of overdoing it, and it sounds like Reynolds is all-in. We shall see.

I now 100% expect a joke about this in the movie.

Right........... They say that now.

You’re pretty much right on the money. His humour is more dry and understated, though, unlike what we’re used to with Deadpool.

You’ve perfectly encapsulated Kevin Smith

It was because Deadpool was Miller’s first feature so Smith just assumed he was some young up and coming hotshot, as opposed to a guy in his 50s, whose career so far has involved running a successful VFX studio, making the transition to directing.

You’re right. I’ve laughed pretty hard at some moments in Snyder’s films. Just probably not the ones he intended me to laugh at.

Sounds about right, fox keeps fucking up everything, this time I assume, they want more control since they were hands off the first and didn’t envision it being a blockbuster, and now that it had accolades, they want to put their disgusting, scummy hands on it this time because that is where the money is and they

The curse of Fox?

Ooh, that would be an amazing dumpster fire.

I don’t know. A Tarantino movie is a Tarantino movie. What was great about the Deadpool movie was that it was an ode to Deadpool. It doesn’t need huge stars for that.

I wonder if budget had anything to do with it. Where one guy wants to go big and blockbuster because the studio is throwing truckloads of money at them while the other guy wants to stay small and personal because that’s what worked so well in the first one.

I hate when mommy and daddy fight.

It really was the team of Miller and Reynolds that kept it alive for so long. Tim Miller had a heck of a lot to do with getting the first movie made. Also, he did make one hell of a great movie.

And now the waiting game begins for his replacement...
