Except the first film didn’t really use much CG in the first movie. There was certain shots of Mikey in the beginning, Edgar’s spaceship crashing, a few random background aliens in various shots, the tiny little alien dying, the rocket car, and full-bug Edgar. Most of the special effects were done with practical

No matter how many great stories result, I’ll never understand the ressurections of Barry and Hal. Both Wally and Kyle were great, and I thought DC had really shown something by replacing two of their classic characters.

it should go the Spider-Man route and take the main cast back to high school. All the metaphors that make X-Men so potent are rife to be reintroduced in its original teenaged setting. Also center it on the characters that haven’t really been focused on before, so put Wolverine on the sidelines and set Magneto aside

Bobby Moynihan’s work on CBB over the years has made me realize how underutilized he has been on anything else he’s done in his career.

Something I find interesting is that there’s no indication of the gangs being involved in any sort of money-making criminal behavior. The “turf” they fight over doesn’t seem to represent anything of actual value, other than “here, everyone has to act scared if we snap our fingers at ‘em”.

I think there’s always some trepidation with remaking old films, especially old classic films.   It will have to be phenomenal to not generate a feeling of “what was the point?”

what if, and bear with me here, the biggest part of what made those disney classics, CLASSICS was that...they were animated? Just putting that out there.

Her “...shit” after accidentally referring to the invention as a car and Aukerman gloating “You said it’s a car! You know it’s a car!” was so funny that I had to pause the podcast because I was laughing so hard.

When Ego accidentally said “it’s a car” I nearly died. Sometimes the funniest moments in the podcast come from the real human mistakes.

The Farts & Procreation episodes are what I revisit most often when feeling bad.

You could say that Ego and Carl are Solid, Solid as a Rock.

According to the Wikipedia, Gamora is simply not present at the snap. Star Lord is looking for her, not mourning her again.

I... it was a crappy van that almost certainly was rusted out.

I had the same gripe about Ned and Peter, but someone came up with a plausible explanation that Ned after being revived was worried about Peter because as far as he knew, the last he saw of him he left his school bus to fight aliens. Peter returning to school clearly wasn’t something that happened the day of the

I wonder what Captain America said to Red Skull when he returned the Soul Stone. Must have been awkward.

OH, AND: I unfortunately had to share an aisle with, essentially, a comments section/subreddit. I’m not exaggerating. There were like five dudes, they came in, stared at their phones, read aloud the arguments and posts they were looking at to each other, put the phones away (thankfully) as the movie started, and as

Civil War doesn’t hold up very well because almost nothing that happens holds any bearing on future movies, other than determine where everybody is physically when Thanos shows up.

I feel like Legion may have been intended to be a limited thing from the beginning. If anything, it felt like Season 2 was trying to stretch things out.

I was most struck at how the people at Wayne Enterprises were afraid to leave until they were told to by the boss. Bruce must be really demanding on his workers.

It would be serious if it stuck. The movie essentially makes it non-serious by just giving him an exoskeleton that makes him no different than before (thus far, anyway. I’d love to see it have real consequences for Rhodey. He’s terribly underused.)
