It’s just a segue to transition from one topic to another. It’s no different from the “miraculous” wordplay that transitions from the Christian movies paragraph to the next. You’re reading too much into it.

I don’t totally get why you would make the lands based on specific movies instead of Marvel in general. I’d love to go to the Guardians tower, Black Panther ride, and Iron Man coaster all in one day. The reason, I guess, is immersive scenery theming. But I’d rather suspend disbelief that the Collector’s home is only

The Black Order are a Jonathan Hickman creation.

They could be ideal for their purpose here - just enough personality to be interesting to fight, but not such important characters that anyone should care that they only get a couple lines each.

BR2049 is a better movie than War, but Serkis’s Caesar is probably the most impressive fully CGI character... ever? And none of the movies featuring him have won Visual Effects, so it would have been nice for the final film in the trilogy to be recognized for that achievement.

The story as presented in the film isn’t unfinished just because the (apparently very different) book had sequels. I’d be potentially interested if a sequel film were somehow made and made well, but it doesn’t NEED one.

To Kill A Mockingbird isn’t an unfinished film because the book Go Set A Watchman was published.

“WELL LISTEN TO THIS”

I’ve been loving Punch Up The Jam! It’s great to get a weekly dose of Demi and Miel and, while I enjoy a great many formless conversation podcasts, I really appreciate the pre-production and musical talent put into this format.

That “just write a Cloverfield movie from the start!” complaint in the article misses the entire point of the franchise, which is to take a certain kind of original sci-fi thriller script which would otherwise get little attention and attach a known name to it. It’s like telling a scholarship program “Why don’t you

My simple theory is: It’s a movie that gets worse and worse the more you think about it. Critics are paid to think about movies. Hence the seemingly out-of-proportion hate. I definitely got angrier at the movie turning it over in my head after seeing it than I was during it.

From the article: “triumphal John Williams music playing. (To this day, I don’t think there’s been a better, more iconic score in a superhero movie.)”

They separated from the official party because they were double-super-Nazis, down to the hilarious salute.

I did not care about Frances Ha at all, but I really liked Florida Project (and Lady Bird, so apparently my problem wasn’t with Gerwig in general).

I go to the movies a lot compared to the average person and I can’t even imagine spending $100 a month on theater trips.

Sometimes I feel like the only person who remembers Review aired this spring. Yes, it was only for three episodes, but it still gave us some of the best televised moments of the year.

I hope it’s exactly like that and the movie has a subplot that involves J. Paul Getty coming to blows with Biff Tannen of Hill Valley.

As far as I know, you can buy bottles of hard liquor until, during and after 2 am in Indiana as long as it’s not Sunday. There are other reasons to come to Chicago.

The Raimi Spider-man trilogy is absolutely a love story, but I agree with your point.

That was fun but hurt by its incredibly weak resolution.

So your argument is to point out how, in addition to all the main characters being male, the majority of supporting Marvel characters are male?

(Also, the fact that of that list, Black Widow is the only one played by a proven big box office lead makes it more conspicuous)

I’m glad Thanos is less gaudy - specifically that he ditched the weird pointy shoulder pad things and his armor is less shiny than it was. But some kind of helmet if not the same one he’s had might be nice.

What? The “mystery” of “there’s a guy you’re gonna have to fight in an arena” isn’t introduced until the end of Thor meeting Grandmaster, which is AFTER the whole first act. I’d have to see it again to be sure, but between the arena scene that resolves it with “it’s Hulk” and the scene that introduces that
