No manual? Don’t care. I don’t care that is the way the market is going blah blah...MY sport sedans have manual transmissions. Always have, always will.

Savages dont eat in cars. Savages eat in jungles, using no utensils or napkin, wearing no clothing. Anthropologists arrive, all the way from far-off France, observe this alien behavior, and grumble.

Ctrl+F “manual”

I don’t generally like eating while driving, but my wife loves to snack.  It creates a funny situation where she’s always offering me food and I’m always refusing.  Sometimes though, having something to munch on helps break up the monotony.  In those situations, I generally prefer fruit.

Anecdotal evidence guy here :  GTI is 5 years old , I have owned it for 3.  Zero repairs just regular maintenance and tires.

What about holograms in the seats? You know, a fake passenger for the HOV lanes, or a fake driver to go along with autonomous capabilities so people don’t realize you’re not paying attention.

I mean, I leave the key in the ignition of my 50 year old classic too. I have a checklist printed in my car so that I remember what I need to do to turn on and turn off the thing - just like a pilot’s checklist. I’m an idiot and I accept that fact.

FCA cars don't do this. You have to touch the door handle to unlock them. I would imagine some others are similar.

Ding! This is the one thing that drives me mad about keyless. I can’t actually leave one locked in my driveway unless I want to hide the key in a metal box on the second floor or park on the street. At least with a normal key the damn car stays locked.

Maybe I don’t want my car to unlock simply because I’m standing near it.

Then again, keyless entry can be very handy if you want a car that’s not actually yours.

This is an insanely sound advice.  Totally rational.  It means people are not going to listen to it.

Can I take odds on if the New Job=New Car letter author will get to 65 and realize that they can’t retire on Social Security income alone, but that there was “nothing they could do” to save more during their working career?

Better, but still not acceptable, imo. I’ve been making 6 figures for a while, and the wife makes some on top of that. I’ve never felt like I could justify a $40K vehicle.

Yes!

A: Don’t get one at all.

The only reasons the USA and PRC are at odds are:

Here’s my trade!

Why do you think people are willing to spend so much per square foot just to live there?

Because people are dumb and think it’s worth it?
