I think your uncle is a great example of why we shouldn’t have a hard old-age line for driving like we have a young-age line. Id like to see more frequent driving tests with advanced age. Something like proficiency exams at 3 yr intervals during the 70s, 2 yr intervals during the 80s, annuals after that.

The replacement part of the subscription offer leads me to wonder how often the vests expire. Helmets expire after several years, do these too?

This post fits nicely into my Canadian stereotype.

Maybe no plate is better. I did 1000mi+ across the southern US with nothing at all and never got pulled over, even across border patrol checkpoints.

Same, short of having an EV, I’ve got it easy though. Two work from home jobs and a 70mpg motorcycle. 700 miles of range in those two cans.

If the writers created a subscription site with a murderer’s row of ex-jalop writers like defector.com did with deadspin. I’d for sure pay (like I do for defector). Give me PG, Kristin Lee, Torch, David, Andrew, Ballaban and I’ll jump over that pay wall.

I can point out the Mazdas and Blazer, thats it.

IMO a “Karen” is usually trying to demean somebody else, not standing up for themselves.

Saws, drills, sanders, etc. all tell the user to wear gloves and eye protection before using to stay safe. Are we going to start requiring Ryobi to install cameras on their saws to verify that people are wearing eye protection?

The sell back rate with my monopolistic utility is very low and the service charge is pretty onerous. There is very little new solar installations in Phoenix’s east valley since net metering was repealed several years back.

I’m jealous of him being off grid. I imagine the key is not needing AC, if he heats his home with wood, geothermal, or a propane tank there probably isn’t much actual electricity demand.
