I had one of the 5.2L ZJ’s in green! It was my first car, but we sold it for a GTi with a stick once it neared 100,000 miles, as we were worried about the transmission too. Loved that thing. I still remember if you would blip the throttle, it would cause the whole cab to tilt slightly like it was making silly torque…

My dad leased two of these badboys; a 1994 Limited V8 and a 1997 Laredo 4.0, both in that green if I remember right. Amazing vehicles. I loved the tuffed leather and the Infinity sound in the 94 and my brother would let me drive around in the 97 before I had my license. Great times.

I think the 5.2 ZJ will be a classic one day.  Finding them that don’t have a ton of miles and cancer in the quarters is another story
