This is one of those you “You did it? Wow, great” things. Calling it a Yugo is like calling Ken Block’s car a Mustang (which I think is awesome). Sure it has some of the panels, but really it is wearing a Yugo hat. Even if you dropped a zero, I don’t know if I would want it.

Let’s be fair, that Model Y saw more off-road time than 98% of Evoques ever will. Or Macans. Or X3s. Or GLAs. Or Foresters. Or Escapes. Or Equinoxes (or whatever the hell Chevy makes now).  Heck, it probably saw more off-road time than 95% of Wranglers, Discoveries, and Raptors ever will, too. 

In terms out outright off-road capability (i.e. the ability to traverse treacherous obstacles), I’m not so sure EVs will offer a huge advantage.
