I have a smart thermostat and they come in handy. First, they take into account weather to predict when to turn heat or AC on or off so you don’t hear or cool unnecessarily.

Yes, but the cost of a modem, full price is maybe $50. Conceptually the issue is the same. But the actual cost to the consumer is inconsequential. Spending $50 is not equal to having to spend $500 for service.

Well the price involved is different. I can buy my own modem and router for under $100. You can buy a laptop or desktop for around $300. But here’s the thing, a laptop’s primary function isn’t to go online. However, a cell phones primary function is to connect to cell towers.

I have to side with the man. I think all the carriers CEOs would benefit from being called out on their BS. Within their company they aren’t being told how messed up and misleading their stuff is, so someone outside the company being honest is nice.
