I added that as part of the mod. The original buttons do not light up. Part of getting this to work with a PC and not getting out the soldering gun is to replace the stock sticks and buttons. Thank you! It took me a couple days to get everything together, I’d estimate around 8 hours total from bringing it home to having the PC in it. What took the longest was getting emulationstation up and running, adding Steam to that, customizing the UI with gamplay video thumbnails, etc.

Speaking strictly as a guy who does computer security for a living, this is horrible advice. Your phone is much more likely to be physically stolen than to be exploited in this manner.

You’re correct that your device has the sensors required to make the feature work. It has to do with the power drain. The 6S, 6S Plus, and 5SE have a newer low power chip that can monitor those sensors without consuming too much power. Same reason why Hey Siri is only available while plugged in on older devices.
