Xbox way is still easier. Home screen, start button and then press quit. No settings, cords or other bs, and you can stay in party chat the entire time.

Trading items between players would be stupid in Destiny, matchmaking function is unavailable for raids (rightly so) though I think they should implement it for the heroic and nightfall strikes and all shooters with DLC will have DLC only playlists, this is neither new or controversial.
