When I left the agency, they and other programs were exclusively hiring BSNs. I thought that was becoming the minimal standard for NYC nuring hires and especially if one wanted to be considered for management roles. Has that changed? It’s been years so I’m curious.

I should have said “allegedly overmedicated” because that’s all it is anymore and I don’t want to get sued. (I have a ton of Grad School loans and a judgement would kill me.) Alleged...It’s all alleged with no existing proof.

No, she was just really negligent coupled with only being in it for the paycheck along with forgetting how much she pilfered from the meds that were from her patients. (Yep, she allegedly was a functioning “Nurse Jackie” style addict.)

Thanks for the link/Yikes/Exactly!

Not as many as you think; I use to take solace in that before I got to see care first hand. Actually the CNAs and HHA’s offer more targeted care that nurses cannot. And unless you’re in a state (like New York) that mandates all new nurses have BSN, you could have someone with minimal training as a nurse caring for you

I use to work at a Hospice in Grad school in an admin role and the stories I could tell would take the hair off a sweater. I’m not going to go there except to say they brought in a nurse to re-write all her notes because they indicated she overmedicated and thus killed 12 patients. (Yes, the old notes were destroyed

Details? That’s interesting. Was the production as much as a sh*tshow as the final product? I remember Julia Roberts had an “allergic reaction” and missed a bunch of work due to a hospital stay, but is there more? (Juicy!!!)

Selma Blair/David Foster!? Whaaaaaat!? Isn’t he still technically married? And isn’t he kind of cad? (Okay, I really want to say “kind of a d*ck” but there are two sides to every story and maybe his behavior is edited to make him look d*ckish on RHOBH.) Either way, what the what? Is he that rich?

Some of these legislators are so narcissistic and their thinking is so one dimensional that you’d have to break it down in terms of “them.” (i.e. They can only empathize with themselves of others like them.) So I’m suggesting unnecessary but mandatory spiky-pronged colonoscopy scopes for all male legislators who voted

Rally’s is about splurging. I don’t eat fast food often (maybe once every 6 to 8 months) so I make it count. There are Wendy’s and Burger King’s everywhere. Sometimes you’re driving through a questionable area on your way to pick up your cousin (who’s flight has been delayed 3 times) from the airport. You’re a little

Are you the Dad that always turns down the thermostat, puts a gauge on the hot water heater, and measures his wife’s gas mileage behind her back? I salute you and your frugality, dear sir!

You don’t want to know.

As someone above said, have you tried Rally’s/Checkers Fries? Do yourself a favor and go for it. (They sell them frozen now. Totally bad for you, but a nice treat here and there. Transfat and all.)

Don’t go there re: Paper Bag tests! It does seem a little weird, but the DC area “light-skinned” elite thing is still very real. Awful shoes, bad manners, and terrible decor aside, they think they’ve “made it.”

All while arranging Panera Bread baked goods one passes off as their own in their formica kitchen. Can these ladies please can it with the putting on airs and pretending to be posh?

I think what’s so weird about Katie’s assertions about White people as well as her identity is that one has a weird feeling that she equates “whiteness” with “good.” There’s almost a weird, self-hating quality to her discussions of race in an attempt to “put on” (cloak herself) in white identity.

I feel weird about this one: Ongoing struggles with addiction, then a bad reaction to psychotropics after allegedly falling off the wagon with that awful Andy Dick. She had no right to kill anyone, but if ever two people were in need to counseling...So sad all the way around.

Self-effacing, funny, a good listener, unselfish in bed...It’s a thing.
