I was really excited about this game... But the knowledge of a nexter gen version around the corner sours my enthusiasm. So I'll keep going through my backlog and get it whenever I can upgrade my console.

A subscription does get you some “free” games, but nothing particularly special. A Netflix style service - that had games a little later and new Stadia exclusives - would make a lot of sense. But even then, I would weigh up the benefits of streaming over a better experience playing locally.

You can get a free stadia kit through YouTube premium now, and 3 months of Stadia Pro with Google One. Or as I considered it, a free Chromecast Ultra with some extra bits.

First of all, I don’t know who needs to hear this, but you can fix your bumper problem by taking off the front plate and removing the useless bits of plastic covering the switches.

I’m not gonna get a new nexter gen console at launch. I have too many games in my backlog, I’m unemployed and I’m working through some issues. I’ve historically had every console... So to not get one at launch is a huge indication of the state of things.
