I was thinking that it was two thoughts too, but that the 1% was total funding apportioned for higher education. Which would be about right.

What’s even more ironic is he singled out the 2 programs that help black athletes more than the rest combined. For every basketball scholarship that gets a kid out if the projects, there are 3 or 4 lacrosse, skiing, tennis, water polo, fencing, and golf scholarships that go to upper middle class white kids.

Sugar, salt, and fat are all ‘natural’ ingredients, but ask any nutritionist and they’ll tell you those 3 natural ingredients can cause more harm than any artificial flavors.

It also misses the point. Everything Russia is claimed to have done on Facebook, would be completely legal for a US company or Super Pac to do (and it would be protected by the 1st amendment).

55 cases of vaccine injury were found to have been caused by the measles vaccine...over the last 30 years, nationwide. That’s about the same number of kids in Washington state alone who got the measles this month because they weren’t vaccinated.

About half of HBCUs are public (like Texas Southern). They receive the same rates per credit hour as every other public institution in the state. A private HBCU wouldn’t receive any appropriations (that’s what private means), but as HBCUs they qualify for Title III grants, which are pretty modest, but still more than

From the World Health Organization

Even though a safe and cost-effective vaccine is available, in 2017, there were 110 000 measles deaths globally, mostly among children under the age of five.

As a point of comparison, public universities receive 43 percent of their revenues from grants, federal contracts, or appropriations on average, while HBCUs only receive approximately 1 percent.

Words uttered under coercion are proof of loyalty to nothing but self-interest

Measles is a childhood infection caused by a virus. Once quite common, measles can now almost always be prevented with a vaccine.

What’s ironic is that if people just stuck with strict vaccines for a couple of generations, they wouldn’t need to get many of those vaccines anymore. No one gets smallpox vaccines anymore because smallpox vaccines worked so well at eliminating the disease that it no longer exists in the wild.

He also said he was “accused of being a baby killer and that I would go to hell for this bill.”

Yeah, the only issue I see is if the knees are locked then you might hurt yourself pretty bad, but if you don’t lock them this is nothing but a leg press. Worst case scenario (other than sliding between the 2 cars) is that your knees come up to your chest and the bumpers hit.

The issue is that it doesn’t allow boys which is something that Title IX expressly forbids public universities from doing.

“Corporal Ruby was not required to be absolutely sure of the nature and extent of the threat Gaines posed.”

Less than 3% of college students play intercollegiate sports, but the remaining 97% pay over $1000 a year on average to maintain the sports programs.

I hate that schools fund any sports programs. Wtf does being able to throw a ball well have to do with education?

In an ironic twist, the very laws written to protect and promote women and minorities also prevent public universities from promoting women and minorities.
