I think it’s time to remake it’s a wonderful life for the modern times. Instead of George running a mom and pop saving’s and loan, he’s the CEO of a ‘too big to fail’ bank. And instead of everyone in town giving a little to help him keep his business afloat, he forecloses on everyone’s houses when they’re late on

It’s a setting you have to enable. So for small groups it’s not worth it. But if you’re creating a group with the entire state’s employee list, you’re definitely going to want to limit who can send to it to a handful of people.

The Constitution says the House of Representatives may determine its own rules...and it has...a lot of them. Like over a 1,000 pages of them, so if you want to find the ones that specific relating to this you’ll have to look them up yourself

I’m pretty sure there are settings in Outlook that prevent a reply all apocalypse when using distribution groups. I know I regularly get mail sent to the entire university system of over 10 thousand employees and we’ve never had a reply all fest. Surely if reply all was an option on those, some dumb ass would’ve done

Which is why I always reply all and change the subject to something like ‘please remove me from this newsletter’

Pelosi also reportedly noted that she was “trying to be the mom” in the room with Trump and Schumer bickering and trying to verbally punch each other in the balls.

That’s what makes the position of Senate majority leader (and Speaker of the House) so important. They are literal gatekeepers in that they alone decide what gets voted on in the chambers they preside over.

“and following improvements to the legislation that have been secured by several members.”

I was going to say, the area around Chernobyl today looks pretty normal 30 years later and more radiation was released from there than would be released from dozens of Hiroshima nuclear bombs dropped on the same place at once.

Uhh, if you’re a programmer who doesn’t use a mouse, you’re a slow ass programmer. What do you develop in? Vim? Emacs? That’s how we learned to program 20 years ago...you know, before they created proper development tools.

has enjoyed a 4 p.m. can of Coors—which he swapped for Coors Light 15 years ago—every day for decades

I’m assuming it’s run by Aramark, so probably about $5 for a grilled cheese, $10 if you’re getting anything with meat on it (sides and drink are extra of course).

It didn’t say no horses on the invite so I don’t see what the big deal is?

I think you’d be surprised how many public non-profit schools offer completely online programs from associates to doctoral degrees. Nearly all of them do. Online courses are cheaper for the schools but the state pays the same per student credit hour, so there’s a big push to move courses and programs online.

No, I’m not white and I also don’t believe I’ve called anyone anti-semitic. The most I’ve said is that people who believe you can form a stable nation out of 2 opposing religions have never opened a history book in their lives. It’s never happened anywhere. It’s not anti-semitic. It’s just stupid.

I think she’d be a fine, if forgettable, president. I think she’s a good bureaucrat and there weren’t any major scandals while she was senator or secretary of state (I don’t count manufactured scandals like Benghazi).

Their website has a whole section on killing animals ‘the right way’

Michael ran a story about a funeral for a chicken a while back and I looked into that group and they had a ton of shit like this. Apparently it’s the new thing for vegans/animal rights groups to compare animals to people because they weren’t getting anywhere with actual arguments and they had to build false

The most qualified person in the country isn’t going to run again

Horshack, you were dismissed because you’re annoying as fuck. It was a throwaway comment and you’re trying to write dissertation on why Facebook is so wonderful.
