There is a legal standard for a criminal threat. It doesn’t matter what you think. This threat was not unambiguous and so it is not a criminal threat.

Are you not reading the question? It no longer asks you to list your race. It asks you to list your family origins.

They can just say they were threatening more protests. They did not say they would harm him or his family. As the ‘threat’ was sufficiently ‘ambiguous’ there is no legal basis for a criminal case.

The free exercise of speech is a constitutional right. So what if it’s in front of his house? As long as they’re in a public street and not on his property and they aren’t committing violence or threatening it they have every right to protest.
