Right. And do you think the % of people described exceeds 1.32 million? I don’t. So please tell me what is factually inaccurate about what I said?
Which actually doesn’t make sense at all. You want your best staff on the floor at the your busiest times. That’s actually one problem tipping does solve.

You realize of course that for many people, a cell phone is their internet connectivity right? So no, talk/text is not good enough. It’s actually far cheaper to just get a smartphone than it is to get a flip phone, a computer, and monthly internet access.

That kind of makes a huge difference. People who get phones every year are paying up front and out of pocket. People who renew their contracts every 2 years typically get new phones at greatly reduced prices.
I think most people consider a phone to be a basic need in the modern day (tough to get a job if you can’t leave a callback number). But the idea that a large group of people who can’t meet their basic needs is out there waiting in line for the iphone XIIVxz is ludicrous.
I think very few people do this. In fact, only 2% of the US population gets a new phone every year (regardless of income). So the percentage of those living in poverty who get a new phone every year probably rounds to 0%.
Oh, I see. You’re ‘data’ is ‘you know a guy’...figured.

A little of the ole reverse psychology.
