I dunno how an article that seemingly exists to critique the “cultural appropiration” of a 75 year old film can somehow think it’s okay in 2024 to describe something humorously as “spasmodic” but okay, sure.

Gremlins out west seems neat. But how old IS Mr. Wing?
This is one of the more clear examples of an industry rushing to replace real artists (that you’d have to pay) with AI, and the results are predictably awful. It’s a real “whatever, who gives a shit, it’s ‘free’” attitude, and it sucks. The art sucks, the “ethics” behind it suck, it’s all trash.
For some reason I thought he was in his 90s.
NECA made some Golden Girl MEGO style figures including Dorothy, so maybe it’s a collective Golden Girls license. But Lucasfilm was pretty tight on getting all likeness rights for merch signed away up front. However, not sure how that applied to Holiday Special (also word is that the reason it’s taken so long for…
An Ackmena would be an incredible add-on for this set. Bea Arthur’s estate probably wants too much money.
They got released as a set not too long ago as a Hasbro Pulse exclusive. I would not be at all surprised if Pulse does a restock sometime soon to support the set.
They have extremely limited range, and are pretty terrible off-road, plus a lot of random parts seem to break or fall off while driving. And also, if takin them through a car wash voids the warranty, I can only imagine what a bunch of cop-car mods would do to the warranty.
I think a lot of it is that the actual tech entrepreneur is kind of extinct at this point. What you have now are grifters who promise vaporware tech that will happen “one day” if you just keep giving them money, or some “hot new tech” that’s really just the same useless garbage we’ve already got just repackaged in a…
This tracks, because Silicon Valley hasn’t really been about tech innovations for quite some time. It’s all about grifting with some new snake oil to get as much capital as possible. These people are basically no different from Trump.
Thank you for perfectly illustrating the “bad faith troll” point I was trying to make better than I ever could.
You mean to tell me that Zoom CEO who said he thinks people will start using their AI avatars to attend Zoom meetings while they go to the beach doesn’t actually understand shit about his company, or any company? No way man, no way.
You seem not mad and completely not angry. Practically hinged. Keep it up.
Is Yoda gonna show up? It’s only 100 years before Phantom Menace so Yoda should be like in his ... 600s? or 700s?
This guy is a noted troll, there’s literally no good faith in any of his posts.
Is that why I haven’t gotten my daily several spam calls in a couple days?
The trailers seem to show like 20 different scenes of facehuggers impregnating people, and like maybe 2 scenes of actual aliens.
Nothing from the Mandalorian is a deep cut. They’re releasing as many generic and random Mandalorians as they can. Gotta get as much use out of those sculpt pieces as you can. Much like clone figures, Hasbro can never make enough Mandalorians.
Yes, companies that have been railing against remote work and any kind of employment that doesn’t involve constant monitoring and micromanaging would definitely be on board for people skipping zoom meetings to go to the beach while their AI avatar pretends to sit on a zoom call.
Yeah the article mentions how the docs got all the surviving Beach Boys together, or unprecedented access to Henson’s family and inner circle, and then wonders why the resulting docs aren’t hit pieces that dig into all the dirty secrets.
