They got released as a set not too long ago as a Hasbro Pulse exclusive. I would not be at all surprised if Pulse does a restock sometime soon to support the set.

They have extremely limited range, and are pretty terrible off-road, plus a lot of random parts seem to break or fall off while driving. And also, if takin them through a car wash voids the warranty, I can only imagine what a bunch of cop-car mods would do to the warranty.
