This, by all accounts, was originally what was envisioned, with the main elements being parts of the park, not the hotel, but then it seems like some corporate folks got involved and really went hard on monetizing the hotel experience.

I think one of the main ways she hammers this home is how she paid for an additional “photography” package, because she figured she’d be taking video the whole time and wanted someone else to ensure there were some nice photos of her experience. But then when she got there she saw that all the photographers seemed to

I mean, the thing is, the theme parks are a pretty fun time! I live in Florida and grew up going to them. I enjoyed them as kids, and I enjoy them (mostly) as an adult.

Jenny’s theory espoused in the video is that these features - interactive droids and cast members that you could actually engage with “in character” - was removed from the park in order to paywall it behind the hotel experience.

I actually love the idea of a Star Wars themed hotel where I get to hang out and drink in the cantina with aliens and a galaxy viewport or whatever. But load my schedule up with 16 hours worth of tasks? No thanks.

It’s certainly nothing new to have add-ons, but the idea of charging for every little thing and taking features that were advertised as being part of the ticketed experience and removing them to an entirely separate experience/facility to this extreme level is new.

I balked at the four hour run time but I watched the video throughout the day on Sunday as I cleaned my house, and it really is worth sticking it out til the end.

Fuck’s sake dude, it’s a comment on the internet. You’re not paying me, or grading me, so why don’t you calm it down a little.

Right, celebrities doing interviews should just say shit like “I thoroughly enjoyed the movie I was a part of that you are interviewing me for. I have nothing further!”

What

The comments are a welcome relief after reading that “review”. I thought I was going insane thinking “is there going to be any actual discussion about the movie in this movie review?”

I think Neeson got a bad rap with that particular incident, although I can’t speak to him vouching for Spacey.

A guy drove one by the bar I was hanging out at the other day and someone shouted at him “You can’t park that thing here!” sarcastically.

My guess is that Bea is her father’s IF.

Yeah, the allegations that he’s choosing to use an old school/analogue way of making a film rather than a quicker digital shortcut...is that supposed to upset me?

Amy Winehouse was extremely popular when she was alive. “Rehab” and “You Know I’m No Good” were all huge hits, and she had many other well known songs including “Back to Black” and her cover of “Valerie” with Mark Ronson.

Of all the things not to spoil, a recasted role seems like an odd choice. I’ve seen the AV Club straight up spoil things in a header image.

OH MY GOD, A SEATBACK MOVED SLIGHTLY WHEN SOMEONE STOOD UP DURING THE FAMOUSLY COMFORTABLE EXITING PROCESS.

Yes so weird that it’s suddenly covered by warranty after he was told it was not and had to post on twitter to get anyone to pay attention to it and suddenly okay yes totally covered by warranty. Not at all a problem that Tesla support is telling customers it’s not covered.

I’m not crying anything, but the people saying this isn’t a big deal because it’s the way it should be for everything seem to be missing the fact that it’s not that way for everything and if it’s selectively utilized on, in this case, a dog killing weirdo, then it’s maybe not a great look?
