DeSantis actually makes Trump somewhat...almost...not quite...more likable, in a way. Trump is a slimy horrible person, but at least he has a way of being self deprecating and somewhat humorous. He’s way more politically savvy than DeSantis ever was or will be, he knows how to read a room and a crowd.

It is absolutely used as an intentional insult in the context of saying only low wage workers face the prospect of being “replaceable”. This is not being used in the context of certification of manual labor. It’s being used interchangeably with “low wage” jobs.
