Trust me, your California roads are better than midwest roads. This is coming from a Michigan native you frequently travels to California. What I would give to have roads like you have. Are they perfect? Absolutely not. But at least they don't have consistent 2ft pot holes everywhere you look.

Bobcats are no joke and your neighbors are dumb as hell.  I’d probably have asked if anyone’s had any pets run away recently, because, well, bad news on that.
