we’re doing some clever things with dealers to keep [those customers] mobile

I like the collection aspect and want to complete my car pokedex, but I certainly do not need to hang on to every car in it. Wish they would let us sell.

But standard time zones aren’t really objective. Especially not on a global scale. China has one time zone, despite its size (it would be in 4 time zones. Idaho, on the other hand, uses PST/PDT on the northern panhandle and MST/MDT for the southern part of the state, despite the western half being more appropriately

that old holdover from our more agricultural past

I could accept the engine sounds as an option, since there would presumably already be speakers there. But adding hardware for this? No, please do not add this to EVs. Even if I can turn it off, you have added hardware that does not need to be there.

The question of how much the Maverick sold for is an interesting one, but might be MSRP or lower. Quite a few dealerships were eager to get the orders, since Ford was supposed to be prioritizing customer orders (at least on the hybrid), so the ones in the wild might be the deals they cut to be sure they got the sales

Secondary cat delete and those wheels. I’m not saying the owner drove it hard. Probably just a lot of revving, but I don’t trust it. No thank you and no dice.

That sounds great when designing hubcaps or other aesthetic choices, but I don’t think I want to see people testing their designs on public roads. Which is absolutely where this leads--someone does a little driveway test and figures that they can hit the freeway. How does the wheel they designed hold up when they hit

Is there less rear tire noise in the EV? Because the construction is very similar, so I have trouble imagining the larger battery dampens sound that much. If it is significantly quieter, that would be a nice upgrade.

I suspect you are right, and I think the switch we are starting to see in encouraging orders, rather than pushing people to buy off the lot, will reduce the deals that you used to see on less desirable cars.

The number of times we’ve considered people saying “I know what I have” or listing 800 irrelevant tags to get more eyes beg to differ. I always consider the whole ad, not just the price and car.

The new one has not dropped yet, so I suspect this will be a review of the outgoing model. I haven’t seen anyone get a hands-on of the new model in the US yet. The new one comes out late spring or early summer, I think.

Road noise is tolerable, but pretty loud, at least in the PHEV. Have only sat in an EV once, so I can’t really give a qualified opinion, but expect it is similar. I’m looking at trading my 2019 PHEV in for something that doesn’t give me so much tire noise. You really know when you are on smoother roads.

The Niro EV is more available at present (we even get them in Idaho, where it is a tough sell to even get hybrid vehicles on lots), since it has been out for a few years now. But I do expect that to change as they shift focus to dedicated EV platforms.

Congrats on seeing your name in “greed type,” as is customary in capitalist society!

I have the Niro PHEV and I have considered the EV, but it is too expensive to be so uninspiring. At only $1000 under the EV6 with similar range, it’s hard to justify the slower charging and lower cargo volume. And another 6k gets you more range and power.

Almost ready to get over to Skokie. If I had the space to have two cars, that would be a fantastic one to cruise around town in.

Out in the boondocks. I came from a very rural area, and the driving test involved no stoplights, freeways, traffic, or other difficulties. Had to parallel park, but not into a space. The requirement was to pull up beside a car, reverse into the area behind it, then straighten out. So much room you pretty much

Yeah, I came in here wondering how the hell Johnny Cash figured into this whole mess and was simultaneously relieved and disappointed.

Overpriced at half the price. ND
