One of the weirdest problem choices I ever saw was a Saturn Ion. It was a problem because of the Saturn plastic panels. The kid pretty much thought those were invincible and did stupid things (scraped a guardrail at least once because he figured it was fine). His mom actually gave him a brand new or nearly new Jeep

The dumbest car to get for a kid is the one they’re not ready to drive. They’ve been learning to drive in your sedan and you let them loose in a full-size pickup? You better take them out driving it to be sure they learn to handle something entirely different. Teach them on a little plod-along that needs the gas pedal

For someone with little towing experience, this might be much better than their overcompensation or other reactions to trailer sway at freeway speeds. Super Cruise is nice because it still requires attention (and monitors to ensure it) and it only works on roads that are specifically mapped for it.

I saw something about the best Chevy Lumina and really hoped that it had been completely overhauled into something cool.

This beta is something you can buy and start using. Tesla has been selling the FSD since before they actually offered it, and anyone with a Tesla who buys the FSD package is enrolled in the beta if they wish to use it.

I mean, the headline got it right. Supervillain kidnappers need to step up their game. When is Musk doing his flight? We may have another chance at kidnapping a supervillain.

Jason, there are definitely supervillains on Earth. One of them recently made it back to Earth without being kidnapped.

I’d love to convert a 53 Bel Air to a BEV or even just throw in a modern engine and add some creature comforts (I need A/C).

I was able to find a dealer willing to do what they claim is invoice. But there are several competing Ford dealerships here. And invoice is supposedly $300 off of MSRP, which is probably accurate with holdbacks and the like being baked into it.

Things like registration or taillight out should just be a notice mailed to registered owner everywhere. Pulling someone over is less safe for all involved.

I think that CarMax and others just want to minimize the chance someone would take the money and run, leaving them with a stolen car. Far easier and less risky if you can simply exercise the contract on behalf of your customer.

But that’s not entirely accurate. The terms of the lease can vary, but they invariably levy additional fees for things like damage and going over the allotted miles, so you do owe them for the common reasons for extra depreciation. You don’t get credit for staying well under the mileage, but it does mean you might

If I have a contract that allows me to buy a thing at X price and I find someone willing to pay X+Y for it, in virtually all cases, I could allow that party to pay for the thing and take delivery, since money is fungible. A lease that offers a buyout option is no different.

The Lariat shows Android Auto and Apple CarPlay as though they only come on the upgraded stereo, but the XL shows them as standard. It seems they are standard, but the upgrade gets better voice recognition.

Depends on your insurance and maybe your location. I went through multiple people at Progressive trying to get them to pay for a chunk of something peeling the plastic skid plate and breaking the wind dam. They insisted it was a collision, and I finally gave up and paid for the skid plate and tore off a strip from the

I find I would like to have a pickup bed often enough, usually when I have been on the river and specifically want my wet gear outside the cab. I would also like it when I haul furniture that is a little too tall/long for the back of my Niro (I recognize an SUV or van would help mitigate this one).

I still want the coolest and fastest cars. I still don’t buy them, but I want them.

The Maverick is about selling a small pickup that is also affordable. The styling is designed to look very utilitarian and match the design cues of the F150 and Bronco. They are looking for people to see it as useful, rather than stylish.

If it were the AWD, NP for sure. As it stands, the mileage, the model, and the color all add up to something almost no one really wants, but will work. Not a horrible price, probably, but nothing to get excited about.

It looks nice, but I don’t think the check engine light and ABS light are okay at this price. Cheap fixes could be taken care of before the listing. If I am told something is a cheap fix, I wonder why it still needs to be remedied and what isn’t being said about the repair.
