I think a lot of that swift retreat is due to the tank size. When you are filling a 25 gallon tank, you notice the price difference a lot more than a 10 gallon, even if that difference doesn’t actually add up to a huge amount over time. People also seem to overestimate how much difference fuel efficiency makes in

I currently have a light grey interior, and I love this (minus the piano black, which I also have and do dislike for fingerprints and reflectivity). A light-colored interior is so much nicer if I park out in the sun, but the blue adds a lot to it visually without taking away from the light interior.

They should be chased out of every city and town.

Side of seat. Less visual clutter, easy reach to adjust, and designed to be done by feel, so you don’t have to stop and look. It also seems easier for replacing a seat, should you need to.

That’s a nice price, though only for a buyer who actually wants this enough to take it with the mileage. Personally, I would be waiting for failures. And, like the article says, I would definitely want to check the roof functions on something only pictured with it up.

Rural kid here. I started learning before I could really reach the pedals. And I crashed a pickup pretty early on because my dad said to go park it and I couldn’t get it stopped in time. Scraped the door on a metal clothesline pole badly enough it had to be replaced.

“Just outsold for the first time ever” doesn’t seem like it implies it has outsold previous numbers. It doesn’t say that it beat Mustang’s sales record. Just that it sold more for the first time. Perhaps something like the first paragraph’s “is outselling” would be clearer. And the headline, unless it changed between

Looks won’t bother me a bit if it does what I need for a low enough price to justify it.

Nice Price, despite that not being what we are doing here. I’m ignoring the Cavalier.

Well, I think I need to stop complaining that dealers want MSRP or slightly above for the much more desirable vehicles I want. I was just whining about the RAV4 Prime, but the markups there actually make sense.

I think a place like this might see a lot of people saying they aren’t getting better, but advanced safety tech, low maintenance (with better maintenance monitors), PHEVs, EVs, and higher levels of comfort (more heated seats, ventilated seats, heated steering wheels, etc.) I think that cars are getting better. They

Makes you wonder if there will be replacement grill options. Make it so ugly that you beg for the upsell?

I love the square bodies well enough, but my true loyalty is to the friendly old stepside.

Would it help if I insist that we can provide fleets of thousands of vehicles while ignoring or handwaving our lack of production facilites?

Counterpoint: If I can use those sensors and cameras for lane-keep assist and blind-spot detection, but the FSD requires a subscription, I am okay with having overengineered sensors for safety systems and adaptive cruise while not paying the subscription to FSD.

Things that make sense as subscription:

I came to the comments specifically because I hoped people were mentioning Mille Bornes.

The used market for the older, smaller Ranger remains good. A quick search on cars.com shows me a range of prices starting at $5k for a 1993 on up to $18k for a 2008.

I don’t know about that 75% Ecoboost estimate. The AWD and/or 4k towing might get some that way, but the extra cost for lower gas mileage is going to push a lot of people hybrid.
