Hmm it’s interesting to hear that they’re going with the “emotionally immature” angle on Hellboy again. I remember that they were going for the same thing in the first del Toro movie, too. I’ve read a smattering of Hellboy comics, and I’ve never gotten the impression that Hellboy is anything other than a grown man

I get the distinct impression that she enjoys these sorts of movies (which hey, who can blame her) rather than it being something she does for a paycheck though.  I doubt we’re in danger of Jovovich being in an artsy film anytime soon.

Why do they keep making movies about a callow, inexperienced Hellboy when literally ALL of the most important Hellboy story lines are about a world weary Hellboy saving the world with his maturity and experience?

Every time I see a commercial for this thing it looks more and more like a cutscene from a PS2 game. The kind you’d rent from Blockbuster, only to discover that the previous renter had spilled energy drink all over the disc.

Well...

Maybe it’s just me, but I’m not a fan of Harbour’s makeup here. The body suit is fine (if a little too JACKED) and the quality of the makeup effects work is phenomenal, but the design is too explicitly “demonic” for my tastes. I read Hellboy for years, and the way Mignola draws him there’s an almost cute, earnest

I agree.

I understand how you feel but this is honestly not a logical request of any website or entertainment entity. I’m sorry.

Hell, yeah!

Bronze Tiger! Bronze Tiger! Bronze Tiger!

That is a very interesting interpretation of the cat. I, personally, do not ascribe to your interpretation.

It’s like when they have someone other than JEJ voice Darth Vader. It sounds fine, but there’s still something “off.

It’s not going to be the Aladdin we know and love. This is very much something different. But the spirit seems to be there, and that’s incredibly important.

Remember, you have to selectively pull the quote.

The film stars huge names like Taylor Swift

It’s all built to screw fans, but it has the added benefit of screwing employees, too!
