It looks good. Better than it has any right to be.

YES! Thank you.

My first thought when I heard she was cast as Jasmine was, “Well, now we’re never going to see Power Rangers 2.” It was always a long shot, I know, but...sigh.

I’ve heard about those. Yeesh. The Boys was a disgusting mess of a comic and will be a truly disgusting mess of a film, IMHO.

Yes and no. Y.A. has developed generic conventions that make crafting an original or compelling story an uphill battle, and particularly difficult for (this) adult to enjoy. (The same problem exists in other subgenres.)

Jesus Wept, yes. My first thought was, “Those are some good actors...” Then I read the plot summary and my second thought was, “...who are totally screwed.”

Well, that looks amazing. Now I have to go back to Florida.

The trailer looks pretty cool, honestly, but all of the quippy soldiers are very casual about the hundreds of millions of dead civilians and their fellow servicemen (I presume from the disaster porn).

Man, this brings me back! I grew up with the TV show - which was fantastic. Might pick this up!

Honestly, I’m excited for this movie. X-Men are my jam, and I’m glad 20th Century Fox is at least closing out their run with a bang.

The first Secret Life of Pets was the absolute worst movie I had seen in years. My partner and I tried to watch it on an airplane and just...wow. Illumination is a blight.

I absolutely adore A:TLA, and I would have been very excited to watch “Book Four” back in the day. While they continued the origina series a little bit the comics, I always felt like the comics ended up shoehorning in some “pre-Kora” elements that felt forced and unnatural. Or maybe that’s just because Kora felt

My only regret is that they never let “Fargate” soar the same way they went all-in on Farscape.

Amazing episode.

Hahahaha, yeah. Someone went overboard and assigned each quarter of the street grid a cardinal direction as well. Oops.

I love the suit. Looks like a 1930s muscle man - and what a kid would imagine a “super hero” would look like!

I think it’s mainly because many cities in North America are built on a north-south/east-west street grid, unlike Europe. So north is always the same. Numbered streets are usually on one axis (north-south or east-west) and non-numbered streets are on the other axis. So “go north of this street” is very specific in

Well, I see someone didn’t obsessively read the Star Wars Roleplaying Game Alien Anthology back in 2001.

True! But, honestly, I really enjoyed the New 52 origin for “Shazam.” It’s about a kid learning how to be better, not just a sweet little pastiche of childhood from the 50s, but a troubled kid who discovers a found family. It was the best, most succinct, reinvention of a character I’ve seen in years.

Same! How does this look so good?
