Her whole empowerment story is just because she read one book that is mentioned a dozen times for basically no reason at all.

I’m shocked that this trash, terribly acted, confusingly accented, smug film merited a positive review.

He really was! He spent his last years in France as a guest of the French king and is even buried there!

What, a guy can’t travel?

Definitely avoid all European historical dramas from the 60s.

By the way, because Disney now owns 21st Century Fox, Ever After is now streaming on Disney+, despite not being a Disney movie.

This was the first one that hasn’t really worked for me at all. Maybe I’m just old and no fun, but at this point I am utterly bored with “Zombies!” in the first place, and in the second place, I am starting to feel like there are too many people out there who are itching to kill people that they know they shouldn’t

Frankly, it seems like something he could just do with the ‘reality’ stone, since altering reality would seem to be the one inherent power of the stone.

he could just grab a zombie, cure it, and throw it in with her

I don’t think this world is screwed after all! Thor is about to show up, the second after everyone gets cured. He’s going to try and destroy Thanos and he’s had a chance to watch Parker’s video tutorial. He’s going to aim for the head!

Am I the only one who feels like this one had a serious pacing issue? Like, it was clipping along at a pretty absurd pace, which meant that none of the emotional beats worked that well, because there was one every couple of minutes.

Australia’s not quite as bad as people make it out to be. I’m a bona fide idiot and I and most of my body parts are still here.

The relentless comedic quips interfered with my enjoyment of this one. Particularly after they nailed the dire What If? territory in the last episode. The Scott head in a jar thing was absurd. It made no plot sense, why would Vision even do that, and how then would Scott have no idea about Vision was doing? Vision

Yep. Do not like zombies. This did not help.

Zombies suck.

I’m just slightly confused about the “rules” of these zombies. Unlike the Marvel Zombies comic they do not retain any personality or things like that. They seem like the usual mindless eating machines. Yet at the same time they are able to operate complicated machinery (Zombie Stark operating the Iron Man armor,

As a general rule, I don’t like zombies in any form: never watched The Walking Dead, never watched any of the Living Dead shows, never read any of the fiction surrounding them; they’re just not my jam.

The divergence is that this Stephen and Christine had a pretty good relationship. That’s obvious. This Stephen isn’t the same one from the movie. He wasn’t the self centered dick from the movie because it’s a completely different universe.

In Endgame, The Ancient One says Doctor Strange was “meant to be the best of us”, but all I can think is that they keep making him into the most irresponsible man-child fuck-up in the universe. That includes what we’ve seen from the new Spider-Man trailer.

I loved the magical combat in this one and really wish that the film version of Dr Strange had done that instead of miming martial arts moves with CGI particle effects.
