I’m not expecting much agreement, but I think Terminator: Dark Fate fits the bill. 

On the plus side, it seems clear that they’re doing something new with the story instead of just re-making Blade (which I really liked, and doesn’t need a do-over).

For some reason I thought “Cruise in space” was going to be part of the next Mission Impossible movie. That makes a bit more sense to me than “a down-on-his-luck guy who finds himself in the position of being the only person who could save Earth”, but I will wait and see.

The interview says they developed “Gill Toddchrist as a villain character for a sequel to The Signal. Not Hellraiser.

I miss living in Toronto and highly recommend it.
