I can’t find the link to this, but Fresh Air had a great interview with someone about how Trump’s hostility toward the media is going to backfire. More reporters will try to look more closely at the shit he pulls. Most tellingly, the guy said that he thinks it will be easier to find sources in his administration…

I am genuinely concerned about the continued attacks on journalists. I read it took Putin about a year to dismantle the free press. I would not be shocked if it takes Trump far less time. He’s already talking about cutting off access and wanting to be able to approve things written about his administration.

They know they’re going to fail. The one thing they never planned for was actually being elected. Now they have to govern, and that’s work, and if there’s one thing affluent whites can’t succeed at, it’s working for a living.
