The ending being a figment of Cliff’s imagination is a very bad and very wrong read that goes against everything else that happens and the themes of the movie. If you watch it based on that theory, you’re going to be disappointed.

Defending the Manson Family as youths coming up to change the future is a really moronic, borderline insane take. 

I never read the comics, but “amoral corporations are bad and they’ll fuck the world up if you let them” is mainly what I’m getting out of the show. I think that’s the main reason they’re not going out of their way to comment more on superhero tropes. Superheroes are sort of background noise to the bigger story here. 

That’s why it works for me, because of the different way it’s done by different characters. Hawkeye starting it, looking like it’s more about being emotionally devastated. T’challa following it up because from him it is all about nobility and honoring a warrior’s sacrifice, etc, etc. I think this would’ve played hard…

At the beginning of the season I defended the show and said that even though the second season was frustrating, there’s still too much good here to stop watching. I will not be saying that before the start of next season.

I knew it was only a matter of time before they killed Davis. This show is almost as mean as Supernatural with killing off non-main characters and they have an even shorter shelf life on AOS.

This is like one of those moments where my kids are doing something really stupid and I remind them that our two questions should always be what are we doing and why?

That’s where I don’t understand how she can Thor. This isn’t Donald Blake Thor from the comics. She may be able to lift the hammer and use its powers, but she’s not going to be able to throw or take a punch. It really would have made more sense to have Sif return to wield it or Valkyrie.
