Trollhunter is probably the most fun of any found footage film you can watch. The Bay is good and has the eco-political message to give it some weight. Crowsnest, I know I saw but don’t remember a thing about it, so that’s probably not a good sign. Grave Encounters is decent, but very standard. I never got the love

That’s what I’ve liked the most about the REC series. Each one is very different than the last. I think 2 is superior to the first film and while most people hate 3, I love what a departure it is. The only real dud is the 4th film.

I love Creep and the sequel, yet somehow never think of them as a found footage films, even though they clearly are. Maybe I’m not the only one that happens to, thus explaining them not being on the list.

Hell House LLC is nearly perfect for what it is. Too bad they couldn’t leave it alone. The sequel is unwatchable and I just saw a third film is coming out.

I’m kind of in the middle ground for Blair Witch. I think it’s a great film, but it also didn’t really work for me. I think maybe I just didn’t really start getting into until the last few minutes so it left let down with the ending. I don’t know. I should watch it again. Haven’t seen it since it was in theaters.

“It’s possible for otherwise inconsequential works to have an impact on culture, and to reinforce harmful norms”

It’s definitely an AV Club problem. I swear most of the “writers” here are Barsanti under an alias and a different stock photo. I always liked Britt’s articles on Birth, Movies, Death, but here not so much.

Yeah, I mean kudos for attempting to give Nancy some agency this season, but it kind of failed miserably. Her and Johnathan are a waste of screen time when the rest of the cast and their characters are so terrific.

I don’t remember anything about Porky’s, but Revenge of the Nerds had a flat out rape scene, played for laughs.

Yeah, no. This absolute dog turd of a film isn’t going to influence culture then, now or ever. This is the pearl clutching, Fundie attitude OP’s talking about. You want to point out that the film is problematic twenty-years later, that’s fine. No shit, but fine. Write a think piece, dismiss it, call it a shitty relic,

Yes and no. I think Tom’s character was like Michael Scott’s character on The Office. Both were intentionally problematic and meant to make you cringe, but as the shows wore on both characters had to have more character traits to not be one note jokes, so the writers started making them more sympathetic and explain

That’s the part of this whole mess that I agree with. If you want to present yourself in a certain way with your public face and that public face is “look how enlightened I am” it’s you fault if you get exposed as something other than what you portray. I don’t know that a one time “please, baby baby, please” moment

That’s actually sort of impressive. If she’s trying to do something interesting, I’ll give it a listen.

This cliche meme of a response is a great look too.

Yeah, it’s all from bad writing which is especially frustrating with how many solid genre vets have been involved in the show over the years.

And yet, neither of those things have directed me there and if he just released an album last week, no one seems to care because I haven’t seen it mentioned anywhere. Besides, it’s hard enough to keep up with eight-thousand Lil’ soundcloud rappers. I can’t be expected to keep up with every vanity project put out by som

That’s a nice long winded judgement based on nothing other than assumptions. There was a clear line where the show went bad.

I wish they’d just cancel this show since every season gets worse than the last and yet I’ll still be stupid enough to watch every single episode in the hopes that this will be the season that they turn it around.
