His review is pretty dead on. It’s well made junk, but still junk. You might get some entertainment value out of it if you haven’t read the book or watched the first movie, but it’s pretty dull if you know the story already. The few things that are different just come off as eye rolling.

Ledger’s portrayal is obviously iconic, but I’m always open to another actor’s take on any role. I do agree there’s no need for a Joker origin story, especially in the vacuum of a world without Batman or other DC characters.
