@eck0: You're right, I didn't pay too much attention to what nvidias current high end card is (I only care when I'm buying stuff).
@eck0: The numbers are what nvidia gives for the GT240 and their new Fermi architecture.
@deanbmmv: There's also the increasingly capable GPUs for steam processing. I think nvidias high end cards are somewhere around the 96 stream processor mark, with the next cards in line hitting 512.
