Michael Rapaport needed a job.

It’s a little thing, but I’ve always appreciated that he outright refuses to use the “A Film By” credit on his movies. He’s talked about how he think’s its incredibly insulting to everyone else who works on movies.

You mean apart from reversing eight years of progress on renewables, in favor of coal?

It’s okay, Greitens will just, like, shoot this indictment with an AK until it blows up.

This is why it’s important for overarching professional organizations to put out guidance like what the ALA did with their Bill of Rights. As an individual practitioner, you can just say “we’re not promoting anything one way or the other, we’re simply following our professional standard, because that’s what our

My dad, an interesting man on many accounts, could also be a nasty, racist son of a bitch. This cost him friends and family to the point where few wanted to deal with him. After an estrangement of about five years, I started to visit him again, and he was noticeably grateful for it. But whenever he lapsed into his old

Ya know..I am a musician, as is my college age son.

“P.S. The Beatles still sucked.”

But of course the medical team didn’t listen to her! She’s not only female, she’s African American! Everyone knows WOC are always over dramatizing everything.

This happened to us when I was finishing grad school. Because I could technically have quit going to school, our benefits were cut. We made it but anything like a broken-down car or sick kid would have sunk us at that point.

Your comment didn’t just disagree with the author, you used your personal narrative to convey expertise. You used that to side with an argument that has left countless families hungry for no other reason than for the assumption that they’re too lazy to work.

If someone on SNAP buys junk: “How dare they use MUH TAXES to get fat!”

Funny thing is, just a few years ago in the previous administration (I think 2013, but could be wrong) there was a successful push to open up the SNAP program so that it could be used at farmers markets as a way to simultaneously provide healthy local foods to Americans in need and to allow those funds to flow

So, here’s the thing about that: The SNAP money is still spent at a local grocery store employing local people buying food at regular prices. The net effect of somebody “gaming” the system for cash they can spend on drugs is $0.00. They’re just shorting themselves.

How they calculated fraud in the 80s ran anywhere from 10%-20% of the total system. Physical stamps were ebing used, people were being overcharged, etc. Then the EBT card came along reducing the reliance on physical stamps and fraud began to decline.

Sometimes people need to buy some diapers or feminine hygiene products, shampoo. To be fair, some people aren’t buying necessities with the cash they barter for SNAP benefits, but I think that’s the exception rather than the norm. (‘I think’ because I don’t know for sure. I have limited experience with people trying

I believe the cornstarch is the primary ingredient in velveting. My guess is that the baking soda is there to increase the ph of the beef, thus helping along the maillard reaction.
