Passing meaningful gun control legislation is easier than 2nd amendment repeal in the same sense that it’s easier for me to plan my vacation to Mars rather than to Saturn. I’ve got no problem with incrementalism in general. I’ve got a problem with doubling down on failed strategies. The GOP has successfully,

Yeah, I think the problem is there’s no neutral way for a heteronormative culture to name something that exists in such stark contrast to heteronormativity. It’s the culture that’s inelegant.

Can we stop with the magical thinking? Nothing, abso-fuckin-lutely nothing, would be more valuable to affecting reasonable gun control than repealing the 2nd amendment. There are no more effective methods. The different (less effective) methods that do exist can’t be implemented right away because they face the same

If this is what you’re looking for, I second the earlier suggestion of “fabulous.” And I’m kinda giggling at you for making heady linguistic points while being unaware of “fabulous” as a queer signifier.

I’m torn between wanting to know more about this guy and wanting to forget I ever saw this to begin with.

I want a Lifetime movie about the relationship between the Queen and her milliners.

Do you want to send your kids there? I wouldn’t recommend it these days.

My Catholic HS had very thorough sex ed as part of the required religion course senior year — Christian Lifestyles. Not only did we get accurate info about assorted birth control methods, but it was in a class that was largely devoted to having healthy/respectful/caring relationships. With family, friends, romantic

Catholic dogma has nothing to say about homosexuality (or any sexuality, really). The conservative elements in the church love exaggerating its scope to dictate beliefs. It’s not that broad. The distance between perception and reality on this point is like people who think 50% of government spending is on welfare.

On the one hand, she fought for 18-20 year old guys right to buy 3.2 beer. On the other hand, she’s spent 40 years trashing Roe v. Wade. The Notorious RBG is about as real as The Onion’s Joe Biden.

Good for Kim.

High heels are so much more common in a wide variety of shoe styles than they were 30 years ago. But there has not been a corresponding increase in people who know how to walk in them. I’m not sure how someone can wear heels for 10+ years and still have the gait of a toddler, but I see it all the time.

Guessing this is the second one:

My comment is based on well known standards established by public health experts about how to responsibly report and discuss suicide in the media. It’s not about a factual dispute between McGowan and Messick.

lol, Pats fan

I feel like the luckiest woman in the world because I hear people complain about this all the time but I’ve rarely seen it in theaters. Maybe once a year someone will take a call and hurry out of the room, but it’s only a split second distraction. I’ve suffered significantly higher levels of irritation with cutesy

Thank you for illustrating the mindset of Alamo Drafthouse’s target consumer.

Aw bullshit. Fuck her family for putting out this statement and fuck anyone who still doesn’t understand that shit like this just encourages vulnerable people to commit suicide.

This. Fucking. Place. Can we stop playing along with their creation myth?

Not that she could take it to court, simply that expectations are openly stated and agreed upon. A contract provides a business-like frame.
