As an Old, I’m completely with you. The only cars I remember with black wheels were cop cars and shitty little econoboxes missing their hubcaps.

I literally had no idea this car existed. It’s actually pretty cool, I’d drive it, but that seems like too many monies considering where CTS prices are.

While I see the parallels, and other than the ability to draw parallels, I still don’t see a purpose.

I think you’re making a big leap here.  It’s very possible that he’s just an old white dude from the south who isn’t smart enough to realize it was a horrific thing to say.  (FWIW, I still want him fired/retired because he’s an asshole.)
