I only knew him from seeing him on Barney Miller as a kid and i did not like him. Seeing him in that first episode of Firefly was somewhat of a revelation. What a great performance. So wise and kind and funny and mysterious.

We had a morning zoo in St. Louis as early as 1986. It wasn't bad— it wasn't as ZANY as others i've heard, or how they're usally portrayed. And it was on the semi-legendary KSHE-95.

I just really loved how, at the end of the movie (spoiler alert!), they all ended up at the same diner having breakfast together. It was actually kind of heartwarming. And i LOLed when the little yip yip dog attacked the kid's foot and he instinctively kicked his leg and the dog flew across the room.

when i saw this episode when it first aired, i laughed so hard when uncle jack threw up that i missed the next few jokes. sure, the character isn't quite a fit for the rest of the show, but martin short is hilarious, and the rest of the episode's funny, so i'll give it a pass.
