stand in for… steve holt?

@avclub-a70cb8d32da253be008115c7990c0547:disqus , i'd have to disagree with just about everything you said there.  greg proops delivery is sarcastic, and highly intellectual; robin williams is drug-fueled mania.  greg proops is quite a bit younger than williams, and i'd say there is a huge gap between their

if that is a gimmick poster, it is the most subtle gimmick i've ever witnessed.

i'm not sure what to think of all this.  i agree that ira glass has a right to be pissed, because even though daisy is a storyteller, and who really thinks that everything a monologuist says on stage is true (do you really think everything spalding gray said on stage is true?), he did actually lie to ira and his

i have a friend who's really into her, so i've probably seen more of her than your average a.v. club enthusiast, and i don't really have a problem with her.  i don't find her stand-up all that funny, though, and and i could see how she could really rub people the wrong way.

george"s man love for a she-jerry.

i like how george says maura, and i love his rant when he gets "caught":  "i've ruined THREE lives!"  those two things make this silly little plot worth it.  that, and illeana douglas' insane tan.

um… his name is not "doctor who."

yeah, i was wondering if the movies they direct will be as shitty as the ones they write.  we can only hope!

haven't read the article yet.  just wanted to say… i love this guy.

i just found out last night that this was back and i was so excited that i went back and re-watched the first season for the ___th time (right after programming it into my dvr of course).  i hesitate to call check it out! the funniest show on the air (only because it's so strange), but it makes me laugh more than any

i saw waterworld on the big screen and actually kind of enjoyed it.

well, kat dennings is an appealing, attractive actress, but even that is not enough to carry a show this terrible.  and i'm the kind of guy that can watch something like king of queens when i'm vegging out after work.

i had never seen this show but always followed the early reviews of it
here at the a.v. club and thought "oh it's probably an o.k. sitcom
because the a.v. club and todd vanderwerff seems to like it o.k." but
then i watched this clip and now i realize what a shitty show this is
and what was todd vanderwerff thinking

said george costanza.

yeah, but scrubs has it's charms.  i put it in the same box as friends— i can watch an episode, not care about what's going on, find it enjoyable— hilarious even— and then not think about it for two years.

i'm sorry, i didn't mean average like 2 broke girls average.  i meant average in a more "it's ok"  way.  when i watch community i always find it mildly entertaining.  i like joel mcchale (huge fan of the soup), the main blond girl is infinitely charming (and extraordinarily beautiful), alison brie is likable, chevy

but who really cares about emotionally connecting with the charcters in a sitcom, necessarily?  sure, parks and rec gets a lot of mileage out of it's moments, like andy and april's wedding, or leslie's childhood campaign video.  but there's also seinfeld, a show that is one of the five funniest shows ever to air, and

well, it is hard to talk when you're teabagging…

i'm with the one that doesn't like community.
