As a fan of Robert Parker’s Spenser novels, and even the old Urich/Brooks TV show (though I don’t know how well that’s aged - haven’t watched it in years), I was really disappointed in the Spenser movie. I’m reasonably certain neither Parker, nor his wife would’ve approved of it if they were still alive. Characters…

Huge fan of the Spenser books, and liked the Robert Urich t.v. show. This Netflix version is not Spenser. Not even a bad version, but something completely different.

Seriously - Lego Masters is actually pretty great. My wife watches a ton of crappy reality competition shows so I have experience with this.  

I disagree on Lego Masters, especially if you have a kid of the right age. Arnett is usually pretty smarmy but he’s funny in this and gives the contestants their time to shine. And some of these builds are amazing!

Yeah, my first instinct is to side with Lauren, that this is just tokenism. However, I think it’s also really important, for lack of a more diplomatic way of saying it, to remember how important tokens can be, if they also demonstrate savvy and skill.

I actually think it DOES matter. Joe is old, and the VP stands a more than reasonable chance of being POTUS. Plus odds are he’d be a one-term guy anyway. If we can’t have a woman at the top of the ticket, I’m happy to see this pledge. 

Can both of them just commit to warren as VP? That way when either of them kick the bucket we get the clear best choice for president.

Did you not even LOOK at PlutoTV?  Lot’s of channels of old movies, tv shows (MST3K!!) and it has a very user friendly “live tv guide” style.  It’s on all devices I have (Roku, FireTV Cube, Xbox, iPad and iPhone) and it’s also FREE (ad supported tho, but not aggressively so).
